We had a new vanity and faucet installed. I like how everything was explained before the work started.

Common questions

Straight answers before you commit

How much does a bathroom or kitchen renovation cost?

Every home is different, so we don’t guess. You get a free, itemized written quote before any work begins. Tub-to-shower conversions start at $6,995 plus applicable tax; full bathroom and kitchen renovations are quoted after a free in-home consultation. Your approved scope and pricing are documented in writing, and if the scope changes, the additional work and pricing are documented and approved before we proceed.

How long will my renovation take?

Standard same-footprint tub-to-shower conversions often take 2–3 working days on site. Full bathroom and kitchen renovations usually take 1–3 weeks of on-site work, depending on scope, materials and site conditions. Consultation, product ordering, delivery and scheduling are separate from construction time. Allow any product-specific curing time before use; your written quote confirms the expected schedule.

Do you handle both complete renovations and smaller installations?

Yes. Everden handles complete bathroom and kitchen renovations as well as individual installations such as toilets, faucets, sinks, vanities, tile, flooring, cabinets and countertops. You can request a single installation without booking a complete renovation.

What tub and shower projects do you offer?

Tub and shower options include tub-to-tub replacements, tub-to-shower conversions, shower-to-tub conversions and shower-to-shower replacements.

Do I need a permit for a bathroom or kitchen renovation?

It depends on the scope, not the room. The City of Winnipeg requires a building permit for kitchen and bathroom renovations that alter walls or structure, but not for cosmetic work such as painting, flooring and millwork. Moving plumbing needs a plumbing permit; swapping a fixture in place usually does not. We confirm what your project needs and handle the permits and inspections.

City of Winnipeg permit guidance →

What does your warranty cover?

Our workmanship, in writing. If something we built isn’t right, we come back and make it right. The warranty terms are set out in your written agreement, so you can read them before you sign.

What should a written renovation quote include?

A useful renovation quote should define the scope of work, products or allowances, price and applicable taxes, exclusions, payment schedule, expected timing, permit and inspection responsibility, how changes are approved, and the workmanship warranty.

How do I compare renovation quotes fairly?

Give each contractor the same project brief and compare the same scope. A lower total may not be comparable if products, demolition, permits, disposal, finishing or owner-supplied items differ. Compare what is included, excluded and still unresolved before comparing price.
